Reaching out for support can feel like one of the hardest first steps. My hope is that from the moment we meet, you feel heard, understood, and supported. I’m Candace Postal a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician (PMH-C) based in Whistler, BC. I offer warm, compassionate, evidence-based counselling that builds on your strengths.

I integrate evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Interpersonal therapy (IPT), Narrative therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based practices. Together, we’ll tailor therapy to your unique goals, drawing on the approaches that best support and align with your growth and well-being.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling (2005) and have over 20 years of clinical experience in community and government mental health settings. In this season of my life, I have chosen to focus solely on private practice as it aligns with the rhythm of my life and family here in Whistler. I was a part of the clinical team in helping launch Birth Baby and Beyond, helping expand postpartum services in the Whistler community. As a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician (PMH-C), I have advanced training in supporting individuals and couples through pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, pregnancy loss, birth trauma and the emotional and relational transition to parenthood.

I welcome youth, adults and couples navigating: -Anxiety and depression -Grief and loss -Pregnancy, family planning, and postpartum support -Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) -Infertility, pregnancy loss and birth trauma -ADHD -Perimenopause and intersection of hormonal changes and mental health -Relationship challenges and couples counselling -Sexual behavior concerns in children and youth. -Stress, burnout, and life transitions

I have a particular passion for supporting individuals and couples through pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, pregnancy loss, and the many emotional transitions that accompany building and growing a family.

Whether you are facing a difficult season, adjusting to a major life transition, or simply longing to feel more like yourself again, therapy offers a place to pause, reflect and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Living in Whistler has deepened my belief that wellbeing is nurtured through connection-with ourselves and others, and with nature. Therapy can be a space to slow down, reconnect with what matters most, and move toward a life that feels more grounded and meaningful.

Wherever you are in your journey, it would be a privilege to walk alongside you,

Candace
